Wang Peiming glides his leather mallet along the edges of his beautiful glass bowls to make a pretty melodic sound. The visitors of his art glass studio, located at the foot of the Mutianyu Great Wall, are enchanted.

Peiming's Schoolhouse Glass is the first of its kind in Beijing open to the public.

"Our skilled craftsmen use the hand-blown method to create the art glass pieces without a mold," Wang said.
