Taipei to show at 2010 Expo

SHANGHAI: Taipei yesterday became the latest city to sign up for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo.

Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng and visiting Mayor of Taipei Hau Lung-bin witnessed the contract signing, which will allow Taipei to set up two pavilions within the Expo's Urban Best Practices Area.

The popularization of wireless broadband, and the reduction of urban waste and recycling will be the themes of the two pavilions, Hau said.
