Lawmaker gets 20 years

A lawmaker in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, was sentenced to 20 years in jail on Tuesday. He was convicted of several crimes, including tax evasion, illegal possession of guns, and organizing a local criminal gang.

Wu Ning, 46, a former company board chairman and general manager, had run the gang since 1988, according to the Shenyang municipal intermediate people's court.
