Colangelo: US Olympic team has NBA's blessing

The roster for the US men's basketball team is set, and despite grumbling from some NBA coaches and owners about their players risking injury to participate in the Olympics, the 12 chosen US players appear to be heading to Beijing with the blessings of their teams.
"I've read and heard about some of the people who have made comments against their players participating, but no one has ever said that to me face to face or picked up the phone and expressed it," USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo said in a telephone conference on Monday.
The endless debate over where a player's allegiance lies - club or country - has heated up as August's Games nears. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been among the most vocal in his objections to his star players competing this summer.
