Futures advance
US stock-index futures advanced on speculation that rising commodity prices will continue to boost earnings for energy companies and metal producers.
Futures on the S&P 500 expiring in September increased 4.8, or 0.4 percent, to 1,323.8 at 8:23 am in New York, indicating the index may rebound from a three-month low. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures advanced 39 to 11,883. NASDAQ-100 Index futures added 2.25 to 1,943.75. Benchmarks in Asia and most stocks in Europe fell.
