If you are weary of hectic city life, either in the heat of summer or winds of winter, Jingyuetan National Forest Park offers a range of ways to refresh.
The 83 sq km park is 12 km from the center of Changchun, a booming industrial city in northeast China's Jilin province.
The area first became a tourist resort in the 1930s. The former Ministry of Forestry named it a national forest park in 1989. Today trees that cover 80 percent of the park are mostly the result of the largest forest planting effort in Asia.
