Honeymoon beyond the railroad for antelopes

A large number of pregnant Tibetan antelopes in northwest China ventured across the tracks of the new Qinghai-Tibet railway to give birth in the hinterlands of Hoh Xil Nature Reserve.

The seasonal migration was expected to begin in June - and local biologists were well prepared. Workers were assigned to stop vehicles along certain roads to allow the animals to cross safely.
