Colliery blast probed

Twenty-eight people have been confirmed dead and six remain trapped after a coal mine blast in Shanxi province on Friday.

The State Council set up a team yesterday to investigate the accident at the Anxin Coal Mining Company. Zhao Tiechui, director of the State Administration of Coal Mine Safety, was appointed to head the investigations.
