Khankluay is the eponymous hero -- a baby elephant -- of this 3D animated film made in Thailand.

Khankluay lives a carefree life in the jungle, but thinks constantly about the father he never met. He soon decides to set out on a journey to the outside world in search of his pa. Khankluay has extraordinary adventures that teach him many lessons on life, and makes good friends. He matures into a brave, strong but gentle hearted elephant, whose courage when fighting for king and country becomes legendary. Directed by Kompin Khemkamnerd.

Trunk calls

Missing, an underwater romantic thriller from Hong Kong director Tsui Hark, premiered in Beijing last Monday, when Tsui and actors Angelica Lee and Guo Xiaodong spoke about their experiences shooting lengthy scuba diving scenes that the movie involved. The film opens in theaters on June 12.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Based on C. S. Lewis' children's fantasy series, this film directed by Andrew Adamson tells the story of the four Pevensie children's return to Narnia to help Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) stand up to his corrupt uncle (Sergio Castellitto). Also stars William Moseley and Anna Popplewell.

Speed Racer

Based on a 1960s classic comic series, Larry and Andy Wachowski's latest directorial collaboration tells the story of a young man's quest, against all odds, to be a successful car racer. Stars Emile Hirsch and Christina Ricci.

Iron Man

Robert Downey Jr. plays the billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, who makes himself a suit of impregnable armor, rather than a devastating weapon of destruction as instructed by his ruthless kidnappers, and becomes the superhero Iron Man. Also stars Gwyneth Paltrow.

D-War, or Dragon War. In a film reminiscent of Ed Wood's oeuvre, Imoogi, an unknown and terrible creature, returns to destroy the planet. A reporter and a young women suffering from a mysterious illness are Imoogi's main opponents in this action flick based on a Korean legend.

Run Papa Run

This is Taiwan director and veteran actress Sylvia Chang's take on a male-themed story. A joint production between Jackie Chan's movie company JCE Movies and EEG Movies, it marks Sylvia's return to the director's chair, following her success with 20, 30, 40 in 2004. Featuring a supporting cast including leading Hong Kong actor Louis Koo and Taiwan actress Rene Liu, Run Papa Run works as both a gangster comedy and a family comedy.
