French daily newspapers were absent from the newsstands yesterday during a strike by distribution workers.
Le Monde, Le Figaro, Liberation and the International Herald Tribune were among the newspapers not available in French newsstands, though their online editions appeared as usual. The International Herald Tribune's print edition was available as normal outside of France.
