Crashed chopper's black box found

The black box of a quake relief helicopter that crashed amid bad weather in Sichuan province on May 31 has been found, military sources said yesterday.

The wreckage of the chopper and the bodies of the five-member crew and 13 injured quake survivors it was carrying were located on a mountain near Yingxiu town on Tuesday.

The black box is likely to reveal the exact cause of the crash. The chopper crashed amid heavy fog and turbulence while carrying survivors to Chengdu for treatment.
