Visitors to Beijing City International School (BCIS) are immediately attracted to colorful paintings of the Olympic mascots Fuwa hanging throughout the lobby of the school's main building.

The student artwork reflects the school's position as an Olympic Education Model School awarded by the Organizing Committee for the Beijing Olympic Games.

BCIS says its mission is "to educate and empower students to be compassionate and inspired people, who act for the good of all and for the sustainable development of the world".
