Man suing neighbor for dog attack
A man surnamed Zhang is suing his neighbor after being clawed on the nose by the neighbor's dog.
The 66-year-old man from Changchun, Jilin province, was attacked on June 1.
Zhang had teased the dog while teaching the animal how to smoke. He took out a cigarette and exhaled a wreath of smoke toward the dog to catch its attention.
As Zhang tried putting the smoke in the dog's mouth, the animal suddenly lunged forward toward Zhang's nose.
Zhang asked his neighbor to pay for his injury, but his neighbor refused.
Zhang has decided to sue his neighbor to see "justice" served.

Wife wants divorce from husband in a coma
A woman wants a Beijing court to approve her application for divorce, so she can help her husband, who is in a coma, by starting a new family.
The jobless woman surnamed Zhang from Miyun, Beijing, has repeatedly fallen into debt paying for her husband's medical treatment since his accident in 2004.
Zhang is asking the court to let her divorce her husband with hopes of letting another man marry into her family. She hopes another man will be able to help provide financial support to her husband, who has spent the past four years in a coma.
Zhang married her husband in 1980.
The case will be heard soon.

Man arrested for pulling counterfeit stunt
A man has been arrested for using counterfeit money in an attempt to trick a bank into giving him 100 yuan ($14).
The man surnamed Dai used a counterfeit bill to replace a 100-yuan note at an ATM machine outside a bank in the Xuanwu district of Beijing.
After withdrawing 800 yuan ($115) from the ATM on Tuesday, Dai replaced one of the 100-yuan notes with a false bill before depositing the money back into the ATM.
Dai then claimed to the bank clerks the machine had taken his 800 yuan and asked for his money back.
But after a careful inspection of the machine, the clerks discovered his trick.
Police were immediately called to apprehend Dai.
Dai told police he had learned the trick from a television show.

Father mistakenly calls police on son
An old man called police to apprehend his son after mistakenly assuming his son was robbing his house.
The son, who rarely visited his home in Changchun, Jilin province, had come to help clean the house while his father was absent last Tuesday.
When the father arrived home, he realized someone else had entered his home. He secretly called police outside.
Just as the cops were about to break in, the door opened, and the father saw the man inside was his son.
