XICHANG, Sichuan: A communications satellite, Zhongxing-9, was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan province at 8:15 pm yesterday. It was carried by Long March-3B rocket carrier. It will be used for live TV broadcast during and after the Olympics.
