Chinese novitiate wine imbibers this week had the chance to cultivate their palates with the world's best. This was the common aim of the group of more than 20 winery owners, vintners and senior representatives from around the world. They finished their whistle-stop 5-day tour of Macao, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing on Tuesday. The group included winery representatives who, taking into account the local palate, made sweet, easy-tasting sensations, as well as reasonable prices, their main selling point.
These specialists of the fermented grape came from the USA, France, Australia, Italy, Chile, Spain, Portugal, Norway and Austria. They included the illustrious-sounding Hubert Tribach of Trimbach, Camille Seghesio of Seghesio, Alberto Chiarlo of Michele Chiarlo, and Samuel Guibert of Mas de Daumas Gassac.
The wine-tasting event in Beijing was organized by ASC, China's leading importer of international wines. It gave Chinese wine drinkers a rare chance to meet specialists and taste the best the wines the world has to offer.
