Bomb disrupts subway
The discovery of a giant bomb from World War II will disrupt subway service in east London.
Metropolitan Police said military experts would be dealing with a bomb weighing a ton, which was found near the site being developed for the 2012 Olympic Games. It is said to be the largest unexploded bomb found for three decades.
Police said service will be suspended on parts of the District and the Hammersmith & City lines beginning at 10 pm yesterday and continuing into today.
