Woman divorces mystery husband

A woman surnamed Le was forced to file a lawsuit in Wuxue, Hubei province, to divorce her mystery husband.

A week after Le and her boyfriend went to register for marriage, the office told her she was already married to a man surnamed Yin.

But, Le had never met the man before.

When Le told her mother the news, she learned her mother had several years ago lent Le's identity card to a fellow villager - as the villager was not legally old enough to be married at the time.

Wuxue Intermediate People's Court recently nodded Le's application for divorce in a public hearing.
