Stranded man rescued by firefighters

A man has been rescued after being stranded on a dangerous cliff for more than three hours in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region earlier last month.

Two fire engines and 13 firefighters were sent to the scene at Cenchen town in Cenxi city.

Firefighters spent 90 minutes rescuing the man who had climbed a cliff 40 m high.

Fatty pork kills 3-year-old boy

A 3-year-old boy has died after choking on a piece of fatty pork in Guangdong province.

Bing Bing was eating dinner with his parents last month in Guangzhou.

He became faint after choking on the meat and was sent to hospital. On the way, his heart stopped beating.

Bing waited 20 minutes for treatment at the hospital. Doctors finally managed to revive him after 30 minutes of treatment.

Bing was immediately placed in the intensive care unit, but died a week later.

Doctors say Bing's brain had earlier suffered from too little oxygen.
