$2.3 m for Guizhou

The government yesterday allocated 16 million yuan ($2.3 million) to flood-hit Guizhou province to aid disaster relief efforts, the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA) said.

The money was provided by the MCA and the Ministry of Finance to assist the southwestern province, which, along with Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces, has been badly hit by heavy rain over the past week.
