Chinese man shot dead

A Chinese carpet-seller was shot dead on Sunday in south Thailand's Narathiwat province, the local Chinese consulate-general said yesterday.

The man has been identified as 56-year-old Cai Wensheng from Wenzhou, Zhejiang province.
