Special supplement: Aux meets quake force with power of compassion

Earthquakes are merciless, but people have abundant compassion. The sudden earthquake on May 12 took the lives of tens of thousands of people - but tens of millions have responded.

Among them is electrical equipment and air conditioner manufacturer Aux Group. The day after the quake it donated 5 million yuan to the China Red Cross to assist stricken areas of Sichuan province.

The group then made another 1 million yuan donation to build a medical clinic. On May 16, led by Aux Chairman Zheng Jianjiang, company workers made new contributions, raising more than 510,000 yuan. Aux subsidiaries followed suit.
