UN donates tents

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees has said it will donate 2,000 tents to help South Africa shelter foreigners displaced by violent attacks.

UNHCR said it will help the government find sites that can serve as temporary camps, adding that an estimated 42,000 of the 100,000 people who fled their homes amid xenophobic attacks that in three weeks spread across the country from Johannesburg still need shelter.
