Flight to Mexico

AeroMexico yesterday launched the first direct flight between China and Mexico. The twice-weekly flights leave Shanghai for Tijuana in northwestern Mexico as a stopover before landing in Mexico City every Thursday and Sunday. The flight will be operated on a Boeing 777-200, with a capacity of 277 passengers.

According to the Mexico Tourism Board, Mexico is expected to attract 100,000 Chinese tourists annually by 2010.
