Shanghai index edges up

SHANGHAI: The recovery of real estate and financial stocks pushed the mainland stock market up 0.32 percent yesterday while the turnover shrank sharply.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 10.87 points to close at 3375.41. The Shenzhen Component Index edged up 0.91 percent, or 108.2 points, to close at 11998.37.
The turnover on the two bourses amounted to 81.8 billion yuan, down 19.8 percent from Monday. The total capitalization stood at 22.08 trillion yuan.
