Students sell flags for Sichuan relief during torch relay

By Qian Yanfeng and Qu Xiaozhen | China Daily | Updated: 2008-05-24 07:45

SHANGHAI: Behind rapturous scenes of cheering and roaring for the Olympic torch relay, people here are doing whatever they can to show their support for the people of earthquake-ravaged Sichuan province.

Many of them are college students like Dong Shuiyu, a sophomore from Donghai College in the city's Minhang district who has been selling Olympic and Chinese flags since May 14, two days after the Wenchuan quake.

But don't mistaken him for a street vendor making money out of the event.
