Three dead, 13 injured in ship gas leak

SHANGHAI: Carbon dioxide that leaked from a Panamanian ship moored in Shanghai killed three and injured 13 on Thursday, Shanghai's work safety administration said on Friday.

The accident took place about 4:30 pm as the crew of the ship was repairing its carbon dioxide system, according to Li Bin, an official with the administration.

Li said that the three dead, whose names were not released, were all from the Philippines.
