Nations donate more aid

More countries and international organizations have offered condolences and aid in the wake of the deadly earthquake in Sichuan province.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said yesterday that foreign nations have pledged to donate a total of 615 million yuan ($89 million) and relief materials worth of 249 million yuan (35.6 million).

The international and regional organizations have pledged to donate 81 million yuan ($11.6 million) and relief goods worth of 5 million yuan ($710,000), Qin said.
