Germany at Expo
Germany signed a participation contract to the World Expo Shanghai 2010 yesterday.
Named "Balancity", the 6,000-sq-m German pavilion, the 23rd committed national pavilion, will showcase how the country's products can help solve problems of urbanization. The pavilion will cost 30 million euros ($47 million), and construction will be completed in April 2010. Yesterday, the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp Group and General Motors Corp also jointly signed an agreement to build a corporate pavilion at the World Expo 2010.
