A music drama by the Guangzhou Singing and Dancing Troupe, Walk in Lingnan, employs the folk culture of Hakka and Chaozhou. Actors and actresses have practiced the drama for more than a year. The drama's director says it will be the best Lingnan performance in recent years.

A concert jointly performed by Four Gig Heads Percussion Group and the China National Orchestra Guangdong will be presented in Guangzhou. The Four Gig Heads Percussion Group was founded by four youngsters in Hong Kong.

The group's brief was to promote percussive music at home and abroad.

Exhibitions

Zeng Songling's painting exhibition, Fascination of Champaign, is being held at the Guangdong Museum of Art. The exhibition showcases 90 pieces of Zeng's oil paintings and water colors from 1961 to 2008, and witnesses the maturity of the painter's style.

A photography exhibition by Georges Azenstarck and Zhu Xianmin, Childhood's Visions, take a child's perspective. Born in Paris in 1934, Georges Azenstarck was hailed by the Associated Press as one of the best photographers of the 20th century. Zhu Xianmin is the vice-president of the China Photographers Association.
