700 escape from ferry fire
More than 700 passengers escaped from an Indonesian ferry that caught fire yesterday shortly before reaching its destination on Borneo island, officials said.
The ship was making its way upriver to the port town of Sampit when flames broke out on the top passenger deck, assistant police Lieutenant Suwarno said.
