Ban on posting liquids

Post offices across the country have been ordered not to accept packages containing liquids between June 1 and Oct 31, the State Post Bureau said on Friday.

All mail sent to Olympic host cities, including Beijing and Qingdao, will be closely inspected for banned substances, which include perfume, shampoo, essential oils, makeup and liquid medicines, it said.
