Plea to media to help find high school dropout

A foster mother surnamed Li is seeking media help to find the natural parents of 15-year-old Dan Dan in Danzhou, Hainan province.

Li, 50, took Dan Dan under her care from a 70-year-old woman 15 years ago. Both Li and her husband worked in a local agricultural machinery center at the time.

Li's husband died in 2003, and since then she has found it difficult to make ends meet.

Dan Dan dropped out of school because Li could not afford the fees.

Li said her biggest wish is to find Dan Dan's biological parents so that the girl could return to school.
