First HFMD death in capital

The first death of a child from hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) in Beijing has been confirmed. A spokeswoman for the Beijing health bureau, said the child from Chaoyang district died on Sunday on the way to hospital. A child from Hebei province also died of HFMD in a Beijing hospital, she said.
