China's northernmost province Heilongjiang and Hong Kong, the booming international financial center well to the south, have natural advantages in cooperation despite the distance, said Yi Junqing, director of the Publicity Department of Heilongjiang.

As an international financial and trade center, Hong Kong's sound fiduciary environment, enormous pool of capital and advanced management experience all add to its appeal, Yi said.

As one of the old industrial centers of China, Heilongjiang in turn offers energy, raw materials and one of the country's most important sources of grain, he said.
