Medical help for kids

A medical project has been launched to provide free treatment to sick and disabled children in poverty-stricken areas.

Sponsored by the National Association of Social Workers, the project has earmarked 550,000 yuan ($79,000) to treat 30 children with congenital heart diseases in Jiangxi province.

The project will be expanded to benefit more disadvantaged children across the country later this year.
