US envoy plans to visit

A report says the US State Department's top Korea expert is planning to visit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) today for talks on Pyongyang's nuclear programs.

Kyodo News agency cites unnamed diplomatic sources for its report yesterday on the visit of Sung Kim, director of the Office of Korean Affairs.

Kim visited the DPRK in late April and met with Vice-Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan, head of the DPRK's delegation to the Six-Party Talks on denuclearization.
