Kidnapped Chinese freed

Seven Chinese nationals, kidnapped by a group of armed men in Indonesia, were all released yesterday after ransom was paid.

The seven Chinese citizens were kidnapped on Saturday at a tin mine in Pining, Aceh Province, on the northern tip of Sumatra island. Two of them were released on Sunday and were told to look for a ransom of $25,000. The rest of the five hostages were set free after the ransom was paid yesterday, according to a Xinhua correspondent in Indonesia.
