Lessons the West needs to learn

The Chinese around the world are protesting against the Western media's distorted views of China and against the attempts to turn the Olympics into a China-bashing circus, George Koo, an international business consultant and a board member of San Francisco-based New America Media, wrote in his article for the Mercury News.

"That the Western press sees China through blinkers was particularly evident when the riot first broke out in Lhasa and when the media immediately upgraded the thugs into freedom fighters," wrote Koo.
