Govt delays missile deal
The Czech government has postponed signing a treaty to host part of a US missile defense system until at least June while an accompanying pact is negotiated, Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek said yesterday.
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had been expected to sign a treaty to establish a radar base 90 km southwest of the Czech capital during a trip to Prague on around May 5, but her visit has been postponed, Topolanek said.
