Unemployment down

The urban registered unemployment ratio was 4 percent at the end of the first quarter, down from 4.1 percent at the end of the same period last year. The total number of unemployed people in urban areas in the quarter was 8.25 million, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security said yesterday.

Between January and March, 3.03 million urbanites found work, about 30 percent of the goal of 10 million for the year.
