Pink turtle thought to be rare albino

On Monday morning, a farmer in Dexing, Jiangxi province, found a pink turtle in a river in the city's Haikou town. The creature weighs 6.1 kg and is 45 cm long and 30 cm wide.

Turtles are generally black or dark green. An expert with the Jiangxi provincial department of forestry, said the turtle has congenital genetic defects and could be considered an albino.
