A three-night entertainment extravaganza will be held at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Center in Macao from May 1 to 3 to mark the start of the 100-day countdown to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Titled Beauty of Harmony 2008, the open-air variety show is co-organized by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government's Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau and Macao Government Tourist Office with Windsor Arch as sole sponsor.

Created by world-renowned Italian artist Valerio Festi, who was responsible for many such productions that enchanted millions of spectators throughout the world over the years, the show will feature 200 artists from all over the world in a grand display of sights and sounds, including flying dancers, music, theatrical productions and light shows.

As the organizers say in an official announcement, the show promises to be "a magic night, a dream in Macao and a light in your soul" for every one who sees it. It is being staged on behalf of the Macao Sports Development Bureau and listed on the official calendar of celebrations recognized by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the XXIX Olympic Games.
