Meeting with Dalai Lama's representative planned

Central government officials will meet the Dalai Lama's private representative in the coming days, the Xinhua News Agency learned from official sources on Friday.

"In view of the requests repeatedly made by the Dalai Lama side to resume talks, the relevant department of the central government will contact and consult with the Dalai Lama's private representative in the coming days," an official said.

"The policy of the central government toward the Dalai Lama has been consistent and the door of dialogue has remained open," he said.
