Medical device base

American healthcare manufacturer Johnson & Johnson announced the official opening of its wholly owned medical production base in Suzhou of Jiangsu province in eastern China to increase its presence in the country's medical device and diagnostics (MD&D) business.

Some $100 million has been invested in this 278,000 sq m base to manufacture MD&D products for the company's global market and is one of the largest production sites for medical devices in Asia.
