Life sentence upheld
The Shanxi provincial people's high court yesterday rejected an appeal by Song Jianping, regarded as the most corrupt manager of a State-owned enterprise manager, and upheld the life sentence earlier handed down to him.
In February, Song was found guilty by a court in Taiyuan of embezzling 260 million yuan ($37.2 million) and sentenced to life in jail.
