When actions belie words
It is a sheer lie for the Dalai Lama to claim that he supports the Beijing Olympic Games, says an article in People's Daily. The following is an excerpt:
The Dalai Lama recently made a "confession" to "all the Chinese people", claiming that he himself "has long supported Beijing to host the Olympic Games" and "never has any intention to separate Tibet from China or create rifts between Tibetan and Han people" and he also requested Beijing to "rejudge" comments on him.
What he said appears to be "well-meaning" and quite "sincere". If he said what he really thought, it is good. But the problem is that the Dalai Lama never speaks his mind. He speaks in this way but acts in another one. His words often differ from his actions. It is hard for people to believe what he says.
