The Huachen 2008 Spring Auction, one of China's major auctions, is scheduled for April 28 to 29 in Beijing's Landmark Towers when antique Chinese paintings and calligraphy, Chinese oil paintings, sculpture, Chinese porcelain, jade carvings, jewelry, jadeite, photography and workshop art will be up for bid.

Preview exhibitions will be held at the Jing An Hilton Hotel, Shanghai, from April 19 to 20 and at Landmark Towers, Beijing, from April 25 to 27.

About 300 works of Chinese painting and calligraphy will go under the hammer, among them Traveling in Wu's Dongzhuang by highly acclaimed painter, calligrapher and scholar Wen Zhengming (1470-1559), which is considered one of the most precious items on offer.
