The Russian State Ballet Troupe, founded in 1979, has won worldwide fame for its inspiring and energetic performances. It is acclaimed as "one of the best ballet troupes in the world." Swan Lake is expected to be a feast for the eyes for Shanghai ballet lovers.

Patrick Marber's award-winning Broadway play Closer, made into the 2004 film starring Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts, is still on at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center. Exhibition

Li Pinghu, a conceptual artist, brought a tricycle and 5,000 bonsai plants for his latest exhibit. He rode to Suzhou daily, stopping every now and then to plant the bonsais on the roadside and photographed and videotaped them. Now, the collection as well as thousands of empty pots are being showcased, making a big impression on viewers.
