Ten Major Energy Conservation Projects

Launched in 2005, the 10 major energy conservation projects aim to do several things at the same time. These will upgrade energy-inefficient boilers, recycle heat and gases in the heavy industries, impose harsher standards upon the energy-saving capability of buildings and promote the energy-saving illumination equipments and technologies in public places and homes. These will also establish regional networks to supervise energy conservation. The 10 projects are among the most prominent missions to carry out China's plans for energy conservation in the medium and long terms.
