Parry slams Hicks' bid to get rid of him

LIVERPOOL, England: Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry claims Tom Hicks' bid to have him removed from Anfield is "offensive" to the club.

Hicks, who co-owns Liverpool along with George Gillett, sent a three-page letter to Parry on Thursday asking him to resign.

The American businessman is believed to be unhappy with Parry's decision to side with Gillett in the increasingly bitter power struggle between Liverpool's feuding owners.
